  • Represented Welbodi Partnership at Ola During Children Hospital for all activities of quality improvement in nursing care; coordinated activities with partners including World Child Cancer, Cardiff and Vales Hospital, other iNGOs with interest in childhood cancer care and advocated for the childhood cancer activities in the hospital
  • Lead and coordinated Multi-Disciplinary Team for childhood cancer care, Clinical mentoring at the oncology ward as well creation of awareness for childhood cancer in Freetown Sierra Leone
  • Delivering and coordinating in-service training for both new and old nurses in the hospital to improve quality of care in Sierra Leone's only tertiary children's hospital in-country
  • Set up, mentorship and management of a Core Nurse Training Team to build an independent and sustainable training group in Ola During Children’s Hospital to lead Continuous Professional development training at the hospital
  • Organized, delivered and supervised a 12 week foundational paediatric oncology training, including chemotherapy administration, nursing care, palliative care and psychosocial support training for 25 health care professionals at ODCH who are members of the multidisciplinary oncology team

  • I worked as an external trainer and examiner for the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives in Sierra Leone during the COVID 19 lock down for Paediatric Nurses in training from Sierra Leone
  • Coordinated the first ever nationwide advocacy and sensitization training on childhood cancer in Sierra Leone where health care personnel from different regions were trained on early warning signs of childhood cancers as well as referral pathway for childhood cancers
  • During my work with Welbodi partnership, I initiated the establishment of a follow up schedule for oncology patient and those palliative care which is in use now
  • I participated in planning and drafting new proposal for grants as well as developed reports for donors on the projects been coordinated.

  • Acted as the hospitals projects coordinator after the substantive coordinator resigned
  • During this period I represented Welbodi partnership in all her hospital projects
  • Liaised with the Ola during hospital management in the various dealings on behalf of Welbodi partnership
  • I led the Asuka Consultancy ( a JICA) affiliate organization that contracted Welbodi partnership for the services of quality of care, nurse training and hospital management .A monitoring tool for quality of care was developed to assess the wards on monthly bases and adopted to be used to monitor the quality of care in the wards
  • Three essential standards operation procedures on medical equipment's were prepared, staffs trained on them and are in used
  • Coordinated the donor visits from World Child Cancer and Cardiff and Wales
  • Represent Welbodi in all the stake holders meetings and Successfully organized the first International Childhood cancer Day Celebration in Sierra Leone.
  • Coordinated data entry for the various projects for reporting and project tracking.
  • Improved the field team productivity with regular communication and progress updates between the management and staffs.
